Professional video collages without leaving the browser

The Video Collage Maker combines multi-slot layouts with editor-grade controls: aspect presets for YouTube and Reels, per-clip crop/pan/zoom, a multi-track timeline, timed text, audio mixing, and fade transitions. Pair it with the Video Background Remover when you need clean cutouts before assembling a collage.

Aspect presets

Switch between landscape, vertical, square, and portrait export sizes without leaving the editor.

Transform & crop

Fill, Fit, or Stretch each clip. Resize with corner handles, pan by dragging, and switch to Crop mode to mask edges.

Multi-track timeline

Trim, move, and stack clips per slot with a scrubbing playhead and text lane.

Text & transitions

Add timed titles and fade/crossfade edges for a cleaner, editor-grade finish.

Private by design

Everything runs in your browser. No account, no upload, no watermark on exports.

WebM + MP4

Record HD WebM quickly, then optionally convert to MP4 with in-browser FFmpeg.

How to make a video collage

  5. 5

    Export WebM or MP4

Record the project at your canvas resolution, download WebM instantly, or convert to MP4 in the browser.

Frequently asked questions

Can I change the aspect ratio of my video collage?

Yes. Use the aspect bar to switch between 16:9, 9:16 (Reels/TikTok), 1:1, 4:5, and 4:3. The canvas and export resolution update immediately.

How do I crop or resize a clip inside a slot?

Select a filled frame. Transform mode: corner handles resize the video, drag to pan, and use Fill / Fit / Stretch for framing. Crop mode: edge handles mask the frame without zooming. Scale and Position sliders offer finer control.

How do I cut or trim on the timeline?

Select a clip on the timeline, scrub the red playhead, then use Cut to split, In/Out to trim to the playhead, Copy to duplicate, or Delete to remove. Drag clip edges to trim, or drag the clip body to reposition.

Does this work like a professional video editor in the browser?

It includes multi-slot layouts, Fill/Fit/Stretch framing, per-clip resize/pan/crop, trim on a timeline, text overlays, fade/crossfade transitions, audio mixing, and HD export — all client-side with no login.

Are my videos uploaded to a server?

No. Files stay in your browser via local object URLs. Recording and optional MP4 conversion with FFmpeg.wasm also run locally.

What export formats are supported?

Export records to WebM for a fast download. Convert to MP4 in-browser when you need wider device compatibility.

Can clips have different lengths?

Yes. Place each clip on the timeline with its own start time and trim in/out points. Project duration follows the longest track.

How do text overlays work?

Add a text overlay, set the copy, color, size, position, and in/out times. Overlays appear on the canvas during their time range and show on the Text timeline lane.

What transitions are available?

Per clip you can set fade or crossfade in/out with a duration up to 1000ms. Overlapping clips on the same slot blend when crossfade is enabled.

Which layout templates can I use?

Vertical split, horizontal split, full frame (single video), 2×2 grid, and 3×3 grid. Adjust gap, padding, corner radius, and background color for each project.

Can I remove a video background before making a collage?

Yes. Use the free Video Background Studio to remove, blur, or replace a background, then bring the result into the Video Collage Maker.

Can I use the Video Collage Maker on mobile?

Yes for basic editing on modern phones (upload, aspect presets, crop sliders, text drag, timeline scrub). Export works best in Chrome/Edge on Android; iOS Safari has limited MediaRecorder support, so prefer desktop for final WebM/MP4 downloads when possible.

Is the Video Collage Maker free?

Yes. There is no signup, no watermark, and no paid unlock for core editing and export features.

Why might a long export be slow?

Recording uses your device GPU/CPU via MediaRecorder, and MP4 conversion uses FFmpeg.wasm. Keep the tab focused; very long projects (over ~3 minutes) are heavier on memory.
