Convert or compress without sending files to a server
Most Online tools upload your photos. This tool reads, decodes, and encodes locally, then lets you compare the result before you download. Drop a .psd or .psb and Convert mode flattens it straight to PNG, JPEG, WebP, or AVIF at full quality — no compression unless you switch modes and ask for it. In Compress mode, use Smart when you want the smallest file your browser can make, or lock JPEG / WebP / AVIF / PNG. Crop if you need to
Open Crop, drag the box, or type W and H in pixels. Lock 1:1 or 16:9 if you need a ratio, then Apply. Rotate, flip, or set exact output pixels without another app.

Frequently asked questions
Can I convert a PSD to PNG, JPEG, WebP, or AVIF?
Yes. Drop a .psd or .psb file, switch the sidebar to Convert, and pick PNG, JPEG, WebP, or AVIF. The Photoshop file is flattened in your browser and downloaded in the new format. Compression is a separate mode, so you can convert without touching quality at all.
Do I have to compress when I only want to convert?
No. Convert mode changes the format at the encoder’s top quality setting and skips the quality slider, the KB target, and Never grow. Switch to Compress only when you also want a smaller file. Resize and crop stay available in both modes.
How is the PSD flattened?
The tool reads the composite image Photoshop writes when “Maximize compatibility” is on — so text, masks, and adjustment layers arrive looking the way they do in Photoshop. If a PSD has no composite, layers are drawn in order as a fallback and blend modes are approximated. Nothing is uploaded; the whole read happens in the tab.
Which PSD files will not open?
Very large files (over 300 MB) are refused before the browser runs out of memory, and a PSD saved with no composite and no readable layers cannot be flattened. Re-saving from Photoshop with “Maximize compatibility” on fixes almost every failure.
Does this image compressor upload my photos?
No. PSD reading, decode, resize, and encode all run in your browser with canvas. Files never leave this tab. There is no account and no server queue.
Which format should I use — JPEG, WebP, AVIF, or PNG?
Smart mode tries the formats your browser can encode and keeps the smallest. WebP is the usual winner for photos. AVIF can be smaller still (Chromium). JPEG is the compatibility default. PNG is lossless and best for UI, screenshots, and transparency — it is often larger for photos.
What does Never grow the file mean?
If the encoded result is larger than the original (common when you re-save an already-optimized JPEG as PNG), the tool keeps the original bytes instead of making the download worse.
How does target size work?
Enter a size in KB. The compressor searches quality, then scales the long edge down if needed, until the file is at or under that budget. It will not upscale.
Is metadata (EXIF, GPS) removed?
Yes. Redrawing on a canvas strips EXIF, GPS, and other metadata. That usually saves extra kilobytes and is what you want before posting a photo to the web.
Can I type crop width and height?
Yes. Open Crop, click W or H, and type the pixel size. Press Enter or click away to apply. Locked ratios (1:1, 16:9, …) keep the other side in proportion.
Can I rotate, flip, or copy the image?
Yes. Next to Crop: rotate 90°, flip horizontal or vertical, and Copy puts the compressed PNG on the clipboard so you can paste into a doc or chat. Exact pixels in the sidebar set an output size without another editor.
Can I download one image without a ZIP?
Yes. With a single file, Download saves that image. In a batch, each row has its own download; ZIP is only for taking everything at once.
Can I compress or convert several images at once?
Yes. Drop up to 40 files — PSD included — paste from the clipboard, or use Add. Every file uses the same mode, format, and resize. PSDs are flattened one at a time so memory stays sane. Download one file or a ZIP of the batch.
Will GIF animation be preserved?
No. The browser decoder gives the first frame. Use this tool for stills. Animated GIF/WebP needs a dedicated encoder.
